Christ: Mocked — Christ, with cross projecting rays as a nimbus, is seated on a bench. He is blindfolded, His arms are bound, and His hands are draped. Four men surround Him. One, who is kneeling and has his right hand on the right arm of Christ, is sticking out his tongue. The second is pulling on each side of his mouth with his fingers. The third, who is wearing a hat, raises his right arm. The fourth, who is wearing a helmet and armor and has a saber at his waist, pulls the hair of Christ. The scene is set in a room with barred windows.
The miniature is in a frame decorated with an animal head or mask. The margins are decorated with floreate ornament. A monogram of the initials A and P linked by love knot is in the lower margin. Text, Seven Penitential Psalms.
