MS G.55 fol. 24v
Description:

Christ: Crucifixion —— A cross-nimbed Christ with his eyes closed, wearing a crown of thorns and a short loincloth, is affixed to a cross with three nails. He is flanked above by the sun and the moon and below by a nimbed and veiled Virgin Mary, with her hands joined, and a nimbed Evangelist John, who has his right hand on his breast and is gazing up toward Christ. Bones are in the foreground at the foot of the cross. The scene is set in a hilly landscape and has a building and trees in the background.
The margins are decorated with foliate and floreate ornament, including a strawberry, and are inhabited by a peacock. In the left margin is the heraldic shield of Pierre Bosredont (quarterly vair and gules).
