Description: 

Christ: Flight into Egypt — A nimbed and veiled Virgin Mary holding a nimbed, swaddled Christ Child is seated sideways on a bridled ass. Joseph the Carpenter, wearing a hat, walks in front of the ass holding the reins with his right hand, his left hand touching a pedum draped over his left shoulder. Above, the sun or a star emits rays. The scene is set in a landscape with hills, towers, buildings, trees, and a body of water in the background.
The margins are decorated with floreate ornament including a pear(?), strawberry, and thistle and inhabited by two rabbits. The heraldic shield of Pierre de Bosredont (quarterly, vair and gules) is in the left margin,
