Description:

Christ: Presentation — Anna the Prophetess, holding a basket containing two doves in her right hand and a candle in her left hand, stands behind a nimbed Virgin Mary holding a nude Christ Child with a crossed nimbus. She kneels on one knee before a draped altar with a canopy. Behind the altar Simeon, wearing a high-priest miter, extends his draped hands over the altar. At his right stands a man wearing a conical hat. The scene is in a windowed room hung with tapestries inscribed LUMEN AD RE[UALATIONEM]; SERUUM TUUM DOMINE SECUNDUM; NUNC DI[MITTIS].
The margins are decorated with floreate ornament inhabited by two rabbits. The heraldic shield of Pierre de Bosredont (quarterly, vair and gules) is in the lower margin.
