Christopher of Lycia: Carrying the Christ Child―Under a starry sky, a nimbed Christopher of Lycia supports himself with a staff as he crosses a river. He carries on his shoulder the Christ Child, who has a rayed nimbus. The Christ Child raises His right hand in blessing and holds a globe in His left hand. On shore, a hermit raises a lantern. The scene is framed by a decorative border.
