Just Summer!

Concourse Village

My story was about things I love about summer. For example, one haiku described watermelons, the next the beach and finally, love. I used the panels to write my haiku. Some techniques I used were visualizing my thoughts and ideas about summer. When thinking about my illustrations I thought about the big memories during summer. I made my haikus using paint like cochineal, chalk, and different colored palletes. Being an author and illustrator was hard but also fun because I was able to have complete control. I learned that hard work pays off. I am proud of my final book. My favorite part of my haiku was drawing my illustrations because it allowed me to express my ideas. If I were to do this project again I would maybe make it a mystery. My favorite of the Morgan book project was going on the trips because it was fun seeing where my work could be.
