My book is about a man that fought for his village and he became the king, who was inspired by my principal, Mr Braverman. The village illustration was from an anime that I read. The process I enjoyed the most was creating the different shades of gray and black. The big idea is that it doesn’t matter where you come from, because if you work hard you can do great things, even become a king. I learned that I should never give up because I was about to give up. It taught me how to write outside of my favorite genre, anime and challenged me to change my style. My favorite part of this story is when the King protected the village because it shows bravery. My favorite illustration is the last page where The village is depicted. I love the color choices and the imagery.
