Notes:

Saraceno's work lies at the intersection of art and science. In addition to his architectural and fine art training, he attended the International Space Studies Program at NASA Ames in 2009. In 2012 he became the inaugural visiting artist at MIT's Center for Art, Science, and Technology. Saraceno has gained renown for ambitious projects, such as inflatable sculptures that test the boundaries of solar flight, and large-scale webs inspired by his study of spiders. This sheet is part of a series of ink and soap drawings entitled Ha Chi Ki ... , which according to the artist, "reveal the irregular geometrical structure produced by bubbles as they meet, forming unique and unpredictable traces of breath." The drawings are directly related to Saraceno's sculptures similarly based on the structure of bubbles, some of them large enough so that visitors can enter them.
