Notes:

Uruguayan artist Marco Maggi uses modest materials such as commercial copy paper and aluminum foil as the ground for his abstract compositions. His time-consuming working method of meticulously drawing on or cutting into his medium evokes microscopic organic structures or aerial cityscapes. Displaying Data is one of Maggi's signature drawings on aluminum foil. In this work the artist used a dry point stylus to painstakingly trace into the foil an intricate linear pattern in varying widths, building an irregular grid with a richly textured surface out of an accumulation of line.
