Originally on page 13 of the Braham Album compiled by C.B. Braham, a musician, and presented to his sister Frances Countess Waldegrave.

Inscription: 

Inscribed on the album page, in graphite, "Suett / by / "; in brown ink, "Nollekens", and again in graphite, "son" (crossed out) and above it written, "Father of the great sculptor his style resembled that of Watteau".

Charles Bampfylde Braham (1822-1884), London; his sister, Frances Elizabeth Anne Braham, Countess Waldegrave (1821-1879), Radstock, Somerset, and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham; on her death the album was returned to her brother and on his death it was sold by Lady Waldegrave's solicitor, R. Macarthur (Macarthurs & Drolling Smith), London, to Sir Edward Lee (1833-1904), London, ca. 1890; Charles Fairfax Murray (1849-1919), London and Florence; from whom purchased through Galerie Alexandre Imbert, Rome, in 1909 by J.
