Signed on the architrave of the Pantheon, with monogram and with the lowercase letters "h" and "c", in brown ink; inscribed at lower left, by the artist, in brown ink, "S. Maria Rotonda Romae"; at lower center, in a later hand, in a different brown ink, "Henr. van cleef". On verso, at upper left corner, in an old hand, in red chalk, "[No] 424" ["o" in superscript]; below, in another old hand, in graphite, "St. Maria Rotonda..." in brown ink, "86th"; at upper right corner, in brown ink, "No 4" ["o" in superscript]; at lower left, in graphite, "721".
