Signed at lower right, in dark brown ink, "J Wit / invt". Inscribed on the verso, in lower left corner, in Ploos van Amstel's hand, in brown ink, "Jb. ["b" in superscript] d Wit f / h: 10 1/2 d / b: 13 d"; below this, in another hand, in graphite, "f. na".
