Inscribed on the verso, at lower left (turned sideways), in brown ink, "D / 100"; at lower right, in black ink, "Bez. Kobell f. 1771"; and above this, in graphite, "1751-1782". Five printed labels attached to the lower edge of the drawing: "Coll. W.v.d. Hellen.; Coll. v. Rhodin; Vente: de Vos Ir.; Lilien-Papier.; and Hendrik Kobell".
