Many of Blake's most spectacular watercolors, prints, and illuminated books of poetry will be on view from September 11, 2009, to January 3, 2010.

The show will include more than 165 works on paper by 70 artists from 15 countries, offering important new understanding of surrealism's emergence, evolution, and worldwide influence.

For the first time in New York, The Morgan Library & Museum will present an exhibition entirely devoted to this aspect of the artist's work. Josef Albers in America: Painting on Paper, on view from July 20 to October 14, features approximately eighty such studies spanning the four decades after the artist left Nazi Germany and immigrated to the United States.
