Print closely trimmed and inlaid into leaf measuring 331 x 233 mm, bound into volume.
Engravings signed and dated with Aldegrever's monogram; each print lettered with engraved caption text at bottom.
The second print in this series, "The good Samaritan treating his wounds with oil and wine", varies in some points from the copy after Aldegraver described by Hollstein (copy 41): signed with the engraver's initials "WF s:" at lower right; with "transennt" instead of "transeunt"; and "1" instead of ":" between "10" and "2".
