Provenance:
Formerly owned by Sir Robert Peel.
Notes:

Etched below caption title: A Hint to Mr West for a Painting in St George's Hall; presumably a reference to the painter Benjamin West, who had recently been commissioned by George III to decorate St. George's Hall in Windsor.
Imprint from George.
George suggests James Bearblock as engraver.
Library's copy closely trimmed within plate mark, with presumed loss of imprint.

Summary:

Print shows George III in profile to the right on a white horse riding down a stag which is under the hoofs of his rearing horse. He wears (in the Morgan Library & Museum copy) a red coat with black cuffs and collar, and holds a riding-whip above his head. A wooded landscape suggests Windsor Park.
