Caption continues: Gazing at some photographs of fair ladies, Dr. M'Cluskie regrets that women should ever grow old; - "For," he observes, "Women differentiate essentially from men in that the former, having lost their youth, are often apt to forego that minute care for external appearance and personal adornment which goes so far to render one sex attractive in the eyes of the other."
