Summary
Wondering if Effie could spend two months with them and then return with Louisa to Scotland, since Louisa agrees that she should not leave home again before the end of the holiday. George is now reading Kenilworth in view of a trip he is to take to Warwick and Kenilworth with Effie. Like Effie, he seems to feel the cold of England more than she would have expected. He lacks energy and, like Effie, may need "a little strengthening medicine," or perhaps "his father's cheerful and lively spirits to raise him to fun and merriment." Having questioned him, she believes that he should see a doctor.
