Text of four articles which appeared in the Pall Mall gazette, Monday, July 6, 1885, Tuesday, July 7, 1885, Wednesday, July 8, 1885 and Friday, July 10, 1885; the articles, though unsigned, were acknowledged to be the work of W.T. Stead, editor of the Pall Mall gazette. Stead was convicted of kidnapping and abetting indecent assault for the procuring of Eliza Armstrong ("Lily," see p. 5)--and served three months in prison.
