Summary

Print shows two sailors sitting together, a rough table between them on which is a large punch-bowl and a box of Virginia. One (right) reads his journal to his friend who is smoking a short pipe. In nautical language the accompanying text relates the journalist's trip from Portsmouth to London on the outside of the Britannia Fly, how he took his Nan and her landlord to a play, drank and spent lavishly, and dreamt of the battle of Camperdown.
