19th-century French 1/2 brown goatskin, with mottled paper sides, over paper boards (26 x 18 cm), sewn on 5 supports by Canape-Belz. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves; plain endbands; gilt top edge.

Hand decoration: Rubrication not required. Annotations: Extensive contemporary marginal and interlinear notations, quite faded from paper being washed. Archway drawing added around printer's mark, in same ink as Galhardo inscription and marginal notations.
