Summary

Print illustrates a scene from "Nina, or, The madness of love," a two-act play by Marsollier translated from the French by George Monck Berkeley in 1787: a kneeling man holds the arm of a seated woman with flowers in her hair, who holds up her hand as she looks intently ahead, while another man stands at left, leaning on a stick and covering his face in despair.
