Requesting that Richelieu speak freely to his son [François de Béthune, known as le duc] dʹOrval, and tell him if matters and persons are now in such a state that he will recieve a favorable answer and favorable results, or if it would be better for him to remain silent and wait for a better opportunity. Saying he will follow Richelieuʹs advice without continuing to bother him, and that he awaits clarification.
