Early 20th-century (by 1912) gilt-tooled full brown goatskin over paper boards (32 x 22 cm), sewn on 5 supports by René Kieffer, Paris. Silk and marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves; decorative endbands.

Hand decoration: Illuminated initials on green or red ground; woodcut printed border decoration, hand colored with added armorial. Annotations: Minimal marginal notations sporadically throughout.
