17th-century Spanish sprinkled brown calf over pastepaper boards (28.2 x 21.6 cm), with gilt armorial of Caracena; rebacked. Plain paper pastedowns.

Hand decoration: rubrication unrealized. Annotations: Contemporary marginal notations of people cited in battle descriptions. Inscriptions and drawings on leaf [a1]r (some abraded and faded), including: "Porsio maestro Miguel de Qunbiar(?) doze capitulos de Santos," "Joarmens(?) Para," and another in same hand, scratched out.
