BMC tentatively identified the printer, designated by Proctor the Printer of the Vocabularius, with Johann Zainer. Assigned to Heidelberg by Amelung (Frühdruck I pp.23-24) and by E. Voulliéme in Bok- och Bibliotekshistoriska studier tillägnade Isak Collijn (1925), p.147 (Sheppard). GW attributes printing to Heinrich Knoblochtzer at Heidelberg.

Leaves in first half of work have repairs to outer edge.

Modern full brown goatskin in a pastiche of an early style over stiff boards (28.5 x 20.5 cm.), sewn on 5 supports by Duprez-Lahey. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves, with plain paper fly leaves; decorative enbands.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubrication unrealized. Annotations: Some marginal notations, mostly faded/damaged, 16th century.
