BMC tentatively identified the printer, designated by Proctor the Printer of the Vocabularius, with Johann Zainer. Assigned to Heidelberg by Amelung (Frühdruck I pp.23-24) and by E. Voulliéme in Bok- och Bibliotekshistoriska studier tillägnade Isak Collijn (1925), p.147 (Sheppard). GW attributes printing to Heinrich Knoblochtzer at Heidelberg.

Binding:

Modern full brown goatskin in a pastiche of an early style over stiff boards (28.5 x 20.5 cm.), sewn on 5 supports by Duprez-Lahey. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves, with plain paper fly leaves; decorative enbands.

Inscriptions/Markings:

Hand decoration: Rubrication unrealized. Annotations: Some marginal notations, mostly faded/damaged, 16th century.
