Half-title leaf from Gregorius, Decretales cum glossa (Venice: De Tortis, 1498), ISTC ig00477500 visible inside front board. Text from an unknown 16th-century edition (close to Venice, 1574 edition) of Commentarii in Clementinas constitutiones visible inside rear board.

Hand decoration: Contemporary Spanish rubrication, alternating red and blue initials with blue/red penwork decoration, alphabetic headlines with penwork decoration, and yellow capital strokes. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Contemporary quire numeration at top of first leaf and alpha-numeric signatures (mostly trimmed); quire numerals added to printed register (leaf [36]/10v).
