Paper format: Royal folio
Quires [1], u-[et], [us], F-Y, and aa-kk exist in two settings, one reprinted from the other. Reprinting was done shortly after original printing. The contents of the two isues follow the same sequence, until the end, where in the second issue the Life of St. Erasmus is insterted before Caxton's epilogue and colophon.

Binding
Modern full alum-tawed pigskin over boards (34.5 x 24 cm.), sewn on 4 supports by Deborah Evetts, 2003; former top board preserved in box. Plain paper pastedowns and fly leaves; plain endbands.

Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubricated, red lombards (Caxton shop?, see BMC). Annotations: Inscription for St. William of York's Day, 8 June (leaf [et]5r). Marginal inscription "heare L" on B4r. Stains from a foldable fan (leaves ff1v-2r).
