18th-century French gilt-tooled green morocco over paper boards (27 x 19.5 cm), sewn on 5 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves, with plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; all edges gilt.

Hand decoration: Illuminated foliate border, Flemish style (leaf [1]/1r); rubricated, alternating red and blue lombards with blue/red penwork decoration and paragraph marks, yellow capital strokes (same in ChL 1597X). Annotations: Nota bene marks. Faded inscription: "Quis quis est hic et laudabimus" (Eccl. 31:9) and doodle of a cross (leaf [1]/1r). Inscriptions: "Non cité B.J.D.B." (same citation in Bod-inc P-044(1)) and "9306.7" (first fly leaf verso), "Museé" (second fly leaf recto), and "PG" (rear fly leaf recto).
