Hand decoration: Contemporary Parisian illumination, including miniature of Louis d'Orleans in prayer (leaf a1v), illuminated central panels and borders on main textual pages, and small metalcuts throughout; gilt initials with foliate decoration on red or blue ground and line fillers. Annotations: No marginal notations in text.

Unidentified armorial (Valois-Burgundy?): quartered red and blue with small sheild with lion at center, pasted over with those of Louis d'Orelans (later Louis XII) or perhaps Charles d'Angoulême: azure, three fleurs-de-lys or a label argent, with a garland and tassel depicting St. Michael (leaf a1v), with an additional armorial: blue shield with three fleur-de-lis and a label of 3 points (leaf a2r); unidentified private collection, Paris, 20th century; Otto Schäfer, booklabel (front pastedown), no. 106, purchased from W.
