Contemporary blind-tooled calf over wooden boards (28.8 x 21 cm), sewn on 4 bands, bound in Cologne by the Löwe Vierpass I workshop (EBDB w002532); rebacked. Primary wound endbands. Plain paper pastedowns. 2 clasps, wanting. Repaired by Duprez Lahey.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Rubricated, red lombards, paragraph marks (C-type), and capital strokes (same as in PML 22222.2 and 22222.5). Large lombards with negative space decoration. Contemporary manuscript title, binding notes(? partially trimmed), and inscription ".2. mr̄. 3. al̄b̄." (leaf [1]/1r). Annotations: Contemporary manuscript signatures, starting with "m1," crossed out and replaced by "d1." Modern bibliographic annotations on leaf [1]/1 of Defensorium fidei. Red leather tabs for each text.
