Early 20th-century (remboîtage?) red velvet over boards (49 x 35 cm), sewn on 6 supports. Red silk doublures with marbled and plain paper fly leaves. De Ricci, Mainz records a quarter binding ("demi-reliure"), so the current binding is post-ca. 1911. NNP

Hand decoration: Ferrara (or Padua), illuminated incipit initial with portrait of Pope Clement (abraded) and armorial in bottom margin (abraded); red and blue lombards with blue penwork extensions and paraph marks. Annotations: Contemporary section titles and foliation in top right corner. Manuscript signatures on bottom edge, mainly trimmed away. A few marginal notes and manicules.
