18th-century German half calf, with sprinkled paper sides, over paper boards (41 x 29 cm), sewn on 6 supports. Decorative paper pastedowns, with plain paper endleaves. Sprinkled edges. Gilt-tooled spine.

Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials, rubrics, headlines, capital strokes, and underlining. Annotations: 16th/17th-century marginal notations in Latin and Greek (and maybe Hebrew), sporadically throughout, including date at colophon. 18th/19th-century bibliographic citation (leaf [1]/1r).
