He was of all other men most deformed, and evill shapen: for he had a great head, a larg visage, long iawes, sharp eyes, a short necke, crooke-backed, great belly, great legs, larg feet. And yet that which was worse he was dumb, and could not speake but notwithstanding this, he had a singular wit, and was very ingenious and subtill in cavillations, and pleasant in words, after he came to his speech. Whereunto are added the Fables of Avian: and also the Fable of Alphonce, with the Fables of Poge the Florentine, very pleasant to be read.
