Where the Wild Things Are: Original Drawings by Maurice Sendak

October 6 through November 1, 2009

This special exhibition features original drawings and manuscript pages from the classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak (b. 1928). The show is part of a citywide celebration honoring Mr. Sendak and marking the October 13 premiere of a new Warner Bros. movie adaptation directed by Spike Jonze.

A short historical account of the kings of England. From Canutus the first monarch, and from William the Conquerour. Illustrated with all their atchievements blazon'd. To which is annexed A collection of the most remarkable passages out of several declarations, and speeches of the King, his l. chancellors, and keepers, and the speakers of the honourable House of commons in Parliament, since His Majesties happy restauration, anno 1660. till the end of the last Parliament in Jan. 1680/1.
