Through nearly fifty manuscripts, first editions, letters, and related materials drawn almost entirely from the Morgan's collections, the exhibition Liszt in Paris: Enduring Encounters celebrates the art and the diverse and fertile artistic world of the virtuoso pianist-composer.

This special exhibition features original drawings and manuscript pages from the classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak (b. 1928). The show is part of a citywide celebration honoring Mr. Sendak and marking the October 13 premiere of a new Warner Bros. movie adaptation directed by Spike Jonze.

One of the most original and influential artists of the past three decades, Lisa Yuskavage (American b. 1962) creates works that affirm the integrity of her media (painting, drawing and printmaking) while challenging conventional art historical precedents.

The 2022 Morgan Book Project exhibition of illuminated manuscripts made by New York City students in grades 3–12 features the annual selection of 12 judges’ picks and the singular Director’s Choice.

Approximately 100 manuscripts, letters, rare printed documents, objects, maps, and published writings—drawn primarily from the collections of the Morgan; the Gilder Lehrman Collection, on deposit at the Morgan; and the Huntington Library—were included.

The Morgan Library & Museum celebrates the gift of more than 130 drawings and photographs from the collection of Karen B. Cohen with the exhibition Into the Woods: Naturalism, Landscape, and Labor.

Rivers and Torrents highlights works from the collection of oil sketches given jointly to the Morgan and to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2009 and 2016 by Eugene V. Thaw and his wife, Clare.

Some sixty of Lequeu’s several hundred drawings will be on view in Jean‐Jacques Lequeu: Visionary Architect, the first museum retrospective to bring significant public and scholarly attention to one of the most imaginative architects of the Enlightenment.
