Woody Guthrie: All You Can Write is What You See

An Evening with Nora Guthrie and David M. Lutken

Join Woody’s daughter Nora Guthrie in this multimedia program with musician/actor/playwright David M. Lutken (Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie) as they trace the life and career of Woody Guthrie through his artistic response to themes of place, politics, and family. The presentation includes archival lyrics and historic photographs and although the program places his songs in their historical context, it often reveals present-day issues, bringing new life and often renewed urgency to his words. The program will include David Lutken performing Woody Guthrie songs on acoustic guitar.

*The exhibition Woody Guthrie: People are the Song will be open at 5:30 PM for program attendees
