Reading Ulysses Now

Join author Colm Tóibín (The Testament of Mary, Brooklyn) in conversation with noted contemporary writers, artists, and cultural historians about Ulysses’ storied history and the significance of Joyce’s work in arts and letters today. Participants, including author Joshua Cohen (The Netanyahus, Book of Numbers), critic Fintan O'Toole (The Irish Times), author Lynne Tillmann (No Lease on Life, The Complete Madame Realism and Other Stories), and composer/musician John Zorn will choose an aspect, motif, or theme of Ulysses or Joyce as a writer that resonates with their own work. 

*The exhibition One Hundred Years of James Joyce's Ulysses will be open at 5:30 PM for program attendees.

The event will take place in the Morgan's Gilder Lehrman Hall. By entering the museum, you agree to our updated Visitor Guidelines and Policies. Masks are required for attending all public programs.
