Jeremy Dennis and Nadiah Rivera Fellah
Join Jeremy Dennis, an artist based in Southampton, New York on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation, for a virtual conversation with curator Nadiah Rivera Fellah, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at The Cleveland Museum of Art. The Morgan holds a significant archival collection related to Edward S. Curtis's The North American Indian (1907-1930), the field work for which was funded by J. Pierpont Morgan. Looking beyond this material, this program brings new perspectives to the museum collection as it examines how Dennis's photographs explore themes of Indigenous identity, cultural assimilation, and local tradition.
