The Morgan houses one of the world's foremost collections of manuscripts, rare books, music, drawings, and ancient and other works of art. Discover how the Morgan curators continue to build the collection as we explore three recent acquisitions: a hybrid illuminated manuscript based on Albrecht Durer’s Engraved Passion, a stunning portrait drawing by the seventeenth-century artist Simon Vouet, and a collection of material relating to the poet Gwendolyn Brooks. Presented by John Marciari, Charles W. Engelhard Curator Department Head, Drawings and Prints and Curatorial Chair; Sheelagh Bevan, Andrew W. Mellon Associate Curator, Printed Books & Bindings; and Joshua O'Driscoll, Assistant Curator of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts.
Please note that the program will take place online. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to participate using Zoom. We ask that you download the app in advance for the best user experience.
