ספר תהילים, אשר על פי המסורת נכתב על ידי דוד המלך, הוא אוסף של שירי קודש, והוא הספר הארוך והפופולרי ביותר בתנ״ך. השירים האלו כוללים ביטויי קינה ואובדן, בקשות ווידויים, וגם קריאות שמחה והודיה – נושאים אוניברסליים המעוררים מחשבה על מהות האדם.
הצטרפו למחנכת ג׳וליאנה פורטנוי שלזינגר לסיור בתערוכה "שירו שיר חדש: ספר תהילים באמנות ובחיים בימי הביניים". באמצעות מגוון אובייקטים, יעסוק הסיור בהשפעת ספר תהילים על נשים וגברים באירופה של ימי הביניים.

Traditionally ascribed to King David, the Hebrew Book of Psalms is a collection of sacred poems that constitute the longest and most popular book of the Bible. These poems include expressions of lament and loss, petitions and confessions, as well as exclamations of joy and thanksgiving— universal themes that speak to what it means to be human.
