The celebrated German artist Georg Baselitz talks with Isabelle Dervaux, Acquavella Curator and Head of Department, Modern & Contemporary Drawings, about the central role drawing has played in his career, from his early works in the 1960s until his Remix series of the last twenty years. The conversation will explore Baselitz's love of the art of the past and his use of a wide range of mediums--ink, graphite, watercolor, pastel--to investigate the expressive possibilities of his subjects.

The exhibition Georg Baselitz: Six Decades of Drawings will be open at 5:30 PM for program attendees.
