Históricamente se le ha atribuido al rey David, el libro de salmos hebreos estos escritos son una recopilación de poemas sagrados que constituyen el libro más extenso y difundido de la Biblia. donde sus textos expresan lamentos, pérdidas, súplicas y confesiones, así como gozo y gratitud; temas universales que exploran la esencia del ser humano.

Le invitamos a acompañar a la educadora Belbelin Mojica en la exposición "Canta un canto nuevo: los Salmos en el arte y la vida medieval" (Sing a New Song: The Psalms in Medieval Art and Life), la cual examina la influencia de los Salmos en la vida de hombres y mujeres de la Europa medieval, a través de una diversa selección de objetos expuestos. Esta charla se ofrecerá completamente en español.

Traditionally ascribed to King David, the Hebrew Book of Psalms is a collection of sacred poems that constitute the longest and most popular book of the Bible. These poems include expressions of lament and loss, petitions and confessions, as well as exclamations of joy and thanksgiving— universal themes that speak to what it means to be human.

Join educator Belbelin Mojica for a Spanish-language tour of Sing a New Song: The Psalms in Medieval Art and Life that traces the impact of the Psalms on men and women in medieval Europe through a range of objects on view. This gallery talk will be led in Spanish.
