The 2023 Kenneth A. Lohf Poetry Reading: Jenny Xie

Jenny Xie was born in Anhui province, China. A two-time National Book Award Finalist for Poetry, her collections include Nowhere to Arrive (2017) and Eye Level (2018), which won the Walt Whitman Award from the Academy of American Poets. Her most recent book, The Rupture Tense (Graywolf Press, 2022), was inspired by images of the Chinese Cultural Revolution by Li Zhensheng. A graduate of Princeton and New York University, Xie has received numerous fellowships and grants from Kundiman, Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Kundiman, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Jerome Foundation, and others. She is currently on the faculty at Bard College.

Please join us for this special event celebrating National Poetry Month in J. Pierpont Morgan's Library, followed by a reception in the Rotunda.
