The first edition of the Bible in Danish, known as Christian III's Bible. The work of translating the Bible from Luther's version into Danish was entrusted to the Theological faculty of the University of Copenhagen. The first draft was perhaps chiefly by Christiern Pedersen, and was revised and edited by Peder Palladius, in association with his fellow professors.
