Summary
An untitled essay describing the circumstances under which he wrote a sequel to his novel Dodo: "I contemplated writing a further chronicle of Dodo very soon after the original book came out twenty years ago [in the 1890's], in which, as I have now carried out, Dodo can not get rid of her husband, whom she had married, as she says herself, out of fear, and remains her life in England...".
