The Morgan Book Project Application

The Morgan Book Project is a multi-session, yearlong school partnership program for 3rd–12th grade classes and their teachers from New York City public schools. Students and teachers in participating classes explore medieval and Renaissance manuscripts and traditional methods of bookmaking. Classes visit the Morgan two times during the fall semester, and then write, illustrate, and create their own books inspired by their visits to view manuscripts on display. The year culminates in an awards ceremony and an exhibition of selected books.

Teachers must apply as a pair, and each pair must consist of a Visual Arts teacher and a Social Studies, Language Arts, or other classroom teacher of grades 3–12.

There is no cost to schools for participation.
