Morgan Seal 685
Description
1 cylinder seal : dark brown serpentine ; 18 x 9 mm
Provenance

Notes
"A somewhat unusual representation is seen in 685, on which two worshipers appear one at either side of a god in a nimbus. The nimbus is rendered by means of small hatches, as in 679, suggesting a date early in the ninth century for this piece, although it is far smaller than the other seal stones assigned to this time."--Porada, CANES, p. 82
Summary
Two worshipers flanking small deity standing in nimbus -- Crescent in sky -- Terminal: star over plant.
