Summary
Thanking him for a letter and saying that he and his family were delighted to hear that Sir George enjoyed his visit to Foxley; inviting both Beaumonts to return next year; complimenting Lady Margaret on using a new pen to write her last letter; promising to send her his Epitome (a work on pronunciation) when he has a spare copy available: "some parts I think may amuse & interest her, particularly the illustrations from english italian poetry"; mentioning that he has tried it in small doses on Sir George and it does not seem to have had an ill effect; asking Sir George to tell William Sawrey Gilpin, if he has not already left Coleorton, that they are ready and happy to receive him at Foxley; reminding Sir George to send him the exact wording of Hogarth's advice on composition; commenting in a postscript on the scowles at Lydney; mentioning that his eyes are still weak or he would have written more..
