John Milton's Paradise Lost celebrates the 400th anniversary of the birth of John Milton (1608–1674) with an exhibition drawn from the Morgan's collection of the English poet's work, which includes the only surviving manuscript of Paradise Lost.

The exhibition will feature nearly one hundred items, drawn primarily from the Morgan's holdings and The Henry W. and Albert A. Berg Collection of English and American Literature at The New York Public Library, two of the most important collections of Poe material in the United States.

Drawn from the Morgan's Ruskin collections, among the world's most comprehensive, the exhibition explored his sweeping impact through drawings, sketchbooks, manuscripts, books, pamphlets, and other objects.

On view were more than eighty sheets by French, British, Italian, Dutch, Flemish, and German draftsmen from the sixteenth through the early twentieth centuries.
